The Present Day
From the post-war to today the Botanical Gardens of Catania, although having undergone no major structural changes, have gradually regained their proper functions. Thus, in the area inherited from the 19th century structure without any expansion, they present a great scientific and didactic interest due to a number of their significant collections (GIACOMINI, 1958; TOMASELLI, 1961; PAVONE, 1981; GUGLIELMO & PAVONE, 1988-1995).
